• Sun, 19:11: RT @UberFacts: Carrie Fisher wore no underwear in Star Wars because George Lucas convinced her “there is no underwear in outerspace.”

"George comes up to me the first day of filming and he takes one look at the dress and says, "You can't wear a bra under that dress."
So, I say, "Okay, I'll bite. Why?"
And he says, "Because. . . there's no underwear in space..."

"What happens is you go to space and you become weightless. So far so good, right? But then your body expands??? But your bra doesn't—so you get strangled by your own bra.
Now I think that this would make for a fantastic obit—so I tell my younger friends that no matter how I go, I want it reported that I drowned in moonlight, strangled by my own bra."

if you successfully acquired an STD, you get an "A."

as mystery put it, this is what you get when you set out to study male sexuality.

on a serious note, i took an interesting and informative class on "the psychobiology of women" (yes dad, i realized the implicit joke in the title right away.. "the PSYCHO biology of Women.") and I wondered why they didn't have a "psychobiology of men" class. I never thought that it would degenerate into something so... well... crass. I actually thought that it would be an ill advised class because it would be so short. (i mean, what more is there after "Day One: The Penis.") In any case, getting a bunch of men together and asking them to celebrate or explore their psychobiology apparantly leads to lewd acts and strip clubs. This whole "PC backlash thing" (led by shrewdly self-marketing radio guru Tom Leykis,) isn't doing anything to make men look any better IMHO. But in thier defense, it does seem like a little bit of media-hype going on, as one fellow puts it in the hyperlinked BBC article "If this had happened after an anthropology party, nobody would be making a big deal out of it." So true, that reminds me, i have to go get the film developed from the last "Anthropology Party" i went to.
