i just can't pretend anymore. it's impossible. or possibly impossible. improbable, maybe. could it be? i'm not certain, but it might be that the indications are pointing in that direction. the signs are clear if you read between the lines. it's all over CNN at the tail end of the scrolling marquee that you only just see the end of... i mean, just the other day they were talking about it, but i tuned in too late. then they all shut up and looked at the ceiling. AND THEY WERE ON TV. and i think they knew. it is a conspiracy of sorts. a conspiracy of conspicuous absences. everyone knows but me. so i've GOT to keep pretending, or they'll all know. but i can't, i just can't pretend anymore. i bet they already know anyway. so that's why i'm stocking up. i've got lots already, tied up in neat bundles in the spare bedroom. don't tell. now that you know...
