nothing new under the sun
Jul. 6th, 2001 07:40 ami've tired of the javascript driven hiermenus on my student page, so i've canned it all and given the whole thing a bit of a facelift. Sorry to say, no new content, just a pretty new wrapper.
today is supposed to be my last day at amazon.com. yesterday they moved me from my dark glass fishbowl office (so that they could move some executives into it,) up to the third floor, where i have a tiny little desk with a corner office view and no neighbors. it's a "temp" desk, but were i staying permanently, i'd ask for it to be my normal desk. it's right next to a broken printer and a big pile of junk.
now that i think about it, it seems very odd to me that amazon.com couldn't delay the move of an executive for a single day. instead, they are opting to move my stuff up here, move him in, and then move all my stuff out of here after that. it seems like they could have held the executive move for a day, and then moved my stuff out and his in over the weekend. silly rabbits.
