When I think on all the joy that man brought into my life, (plus the confusion, he was one of the founders of my religious doubts,) I can't quite express the loss. I honestly expected Douglas to go on forever. I may be flip about life and religion, but in the end, i'm just a puzzled monkey shaking his fists at heaven.

Fortunately, we still have Neil Gaiman to express things eloquently for us.
