A mystery of the universe:
How is it that "if you ask me to do something I will whine about why it can't be done so much that no one will ask me to ever do anything any longer" is a better career strategy than "I am not sure how to proceed but I will work on finding an answer if you don't demand perfection in the results until we can figure it out?"
In related news, at work the other day, the president and CEO of the company was taking around an "industry analyst." He spent about five minutes explaining to the analyst that he often had problems finding important applications because he had so many desktop icons on his computer. (This is while they are discussing why so many people leave the company within the first two weeks of employment.)
