amazon has launced a beta internet search engine, which i must admit, is pretty cool.

there is one big advantage to this search engine that i could see, and that was the "site info" link, which tells you lots of data about the site at a glance, without having to load it ... things like, popularity, speed, length of time on the web, etc. of course, there is a nice flyout that links to book search results for your search as well... it looks to be built overtop of google, so all you are doing is adding a couple of layers of useful functionality to a service that most of us use already.
